In celebration of the new season starting, I took a few hours to make a quick remix of the main theme!
All synths use the DMG chip (a GameBoy) using the Plogue Chipsounds VST, and it’s ALMOST authentic - I used some post-processing effects and added one extra waveform channel for the bass to have both a saw and a sine.
Also did the pixel art hat too. No idea how to draw hats. And Tumblr messed up a few pixels on the right side with the upload… oh well~

Can we all agree that Metal Slug has some of the best pixel art of all time?
I really love the sumi-e styled icons in mhrise but man is it hard to translate it into a 64x64 pixel art;; still im happy how mizutsune came out in the end!
